A Study on Cattle Feeding Practices and Habits of Cattle Enterprises in Central County of Ağrı Province

This study was carried out in the central county of Ağrı Province order to reveal cattle feeding habits breeders. For this purpose, data were obtained by conducting a face-to-face survey with 400 dairy owners enterprises county. According results from study, it determined that 91.5% breeders produced their forage crops. It also found barley, alfalfa, and sainfoin most plants these enterprises. However, production corn silage, which is an important source roughage for cattle, performed at very low level (1.2%). Dry hay (93.5%) took first place among sources used enterprises, followed alfalfa (61.5%) wheat-barley straw (28.0%). Corn silage (7.8%) province deficient terms some information about practices. demonstrated necessary increase usage as crops implement rational animal practices old traditional habits. Therefore, should be involved technical training programs planting. As result courses given breeders, nutrition preparation ration would updated. recommended agricultural extension service boosted education awareness rural areas.
